Adam Mileusnic

Creative Director, HopeWorks

Adam is passionate about social change, and firmly believes that engaging, meaningful design can play an important role in facilitating the types of change the world needs today. He founded HopeWorks with the intention of using design to assist change-making organisations have the greatest impact possible.

The path that brought Adam to build HopeWorks started with a degree in Graphic Design from Kingston University, London. Following this he worked as a designer at the award-winning London-based studio GBH, focusing on international brands, such as PUMA and Apple. Since then, his experiences working in-house for both commercial organisations (The Co-operative Bank) and charities (Alzheimer’s Society) has highlighted the importance of nuance in effective design for different industries. This diverse professional resume has given Adam the ability to mix commercial brand thinking with specialist sector knowledge.

Design changes over time, and designers need to be able to anticipate and adapt to social and political shifts – something that needs to be balanced by continual learning. In 2018, Adam was awarded a place as a student on Seth Godin’s AltMBA course and has since returned as a coach. In addition, Adam has recently completed his MSc in Global Challenges from Edinburgh University, which strengthens his non-profit communications work through a fuller understanding of our current global climate. He lives in Madrid, Spain.
